"The staff are incredibly rude here. We arrived and they said that we have booked a room with a shared bathroom (my booking made no mention of this) but she said they didn’t have any shared bathrooms left so she would put us in a private for one night and the next night we would need to swap. I made the booking months ago so it isn’t my fault they didn’t reserve the correct room for me so I refused to move for the inconvenience. Our Spanish limited and we were trying our best to communicate, also using Google translate where needed and the receptionist was smirking and laughing at us and very dismissive, asking another guest to translate instead. Overall, very rude! They charged an extra $5 per person for their tour to be in English. Breakfast is very basic and the terrace is run down and looks nothing like the photos. It’s far out of the centre (30 minute walk) and not safe to do without taxi. The WiFi is terrible. Take your money somewhere else. "

"From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out it was five star. The service was great and the accommodations were wonderful. I highly recommend checking this place out. Also if you get a chance to do one of their massages it is well worth it so relaxing"

"This property is the perfect spot to rest up and acclimate for climbing Cotopaxi! Even if you aren't climbing the food is excellent, the staff is top notch and there are wild horses and alpacas just wandering around! It's truly magical."

"This is a beautiful property close to the north entrance of Cotopaxi national park. The grounds are very nice and the beds comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food at the restaurant was excellent and rated the best in the area. "

"Absolutely amazing stay. Unlike any hotel I have visited before with a fascinating back story. We loved wandering the grounds and exploring the hotel. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating, and they offered many activities. We did the cave tour (a must!), the beer and chocolate tasting, the long trail walk, a horseback ride, and a night hike. The food was phenomenal, and they catered to our vegetarian diet. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. More people need to be visiting this gem. "
