"The Hilton Porto Gaia is an excellent hotel located in an area within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The area is beautiful and located across the Douro from the Ribeira District of Porto. Walking over the bridge to Porto only takes a few minutes from the hotel. There are a myriad of local activities surrounding the hotel especially if you like wine as there are many Port wine houses that have tours and tastings. The cable cars take you to the top a park high above with great vistas and where you can walk the upper level of the bridge. As to the Hilton Porto Gaia it is a modern hotel that is private and quiet and has nice sized rooms with modern decor. The bathrooms are impressive especially the shower. The hotel also has dining and a bar on top floor Cusco with a great view of Porto across the river and excellent coctails with lots of choices. The staff are wondeful and speak perfect English for anyone that doesn’t speak Portuguese. Overall this is one of if not the best hotel I’ve stayed in during all my travels and we will be staying here again in the future when we come back. "

"This is in the top 5 best hotels I’ve ever visited! The facility is simply gorgeous. Due to the power outage in Portugal we had a lot of interaction with the staff, and they were incredibly supportive, kind, and friendly during the whole ordeal. Breakfast was amazing. I was sad to leave! "
