"Had a great stay at The Embankment! Was met by the very enthusiastic Bethany who made check in a real pleasure and gave us some local recommendations which turned out to be fantastic! Room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee was of a high standard, as we're the biscuits! Bar area had a really good vibe and all staff we met/viewed were friendly and professional. Well done all, would definitely stay again."

"The Red Lion was "going under new ownership" upon our arrival. We were the first customers. The facility was historic and quaint. The food was good although it was obvious things were just getting going. I felt safe and it was nice to be in a lovely English village for the evening. "It's a great little country pub. The welcome was warm, and the breakfast was very good. My room was ok (room 5 first floor), the ensuite is small (a larger person would not fit). The bed was creaky and uncomfortable and the noise from the bar is very loud."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...
