Cozy Townhouse, Greek Peak, Virgil, Cortland, NY

Welcome to our townhome located directly across from Greek Peak Mountain Resort! This cozy and welcoming unit faces the mountain and boasts outdoor decks both up and downstairs that provide relaxing views. Nearby you will find golfing, hiking, biking, wineries (Ithaca and finger lakes area) and much, much more.

Two bedrooms comfortably sleep four guests with a queen bed in each room. Two twin beds in common space (loft) provide additional sleeping accommodations.

A full bath with shower stall is on the lower level, and a full bath with tub/shower combo is upstairs.

A fully equipped kitchen will meet meal prep needs with pantry items (basic spices and non-stick spray) provided. The table and four chairs are positioned next to the windows providing a lovely outdoor view.

Technology: There are HDTVs in both bedrooms and the main living room upstairs has a Smart HDTV. Wifi access is included. You will need to bring your own phone charging cords.

Heating and Cooling: There is electric baseboard heating throughout the home with thermostats in each room. There are window AC units in the bedrooms and a ductless mini-split AC unit on the upper level for the warmer months. A ceiling fan is located in the main seating area. Fans are also provided for comfort. While the loft area has two extra twin beds and is height restricted, this space is not specifically cooled by A/C; the fans can be used for comfort as needed.

Fireplace: a cozy gas fireplace is in the main living area.

Linens: Bedsheets are provided, one set per bed. Towels are provided, one set per guest.

Housekeeping: No cleaning services are provided during your stay. Vacuum cleaner, stick floor vac, and swiffer are in the downstairs utility closet for your use as needed. Washer/dryer are in unit for your convenience. Basic paper products are provided also.

Food and beverage: Groceries can be found in nearby Marathon or Cortland.

Dining: Nearby restaurants include Trax (great outdoor deck) located across the road and slope-side, as well as Carver's Restaurant and the Bobcat Lounge in Hope Lake Lodge.

Activities: Some of the described activities have an associated fee.

Hiking, a lift-served downhill bike park, mountain biking, and other fun activities are close by across the street at Greek Peak.

Hope Lake Lodge features an indoor year round water park and for a fee visitors can rent paddle boats and stand up paddle boards to use on Hope Lake. The lodge also offers spa services at The Waterfalls Spa. The Lodge also has an outdoor pool and an arcade that has over 40 games. Also located in the Lodge is a gift shop with coffee (Starbucks) and snacks available.

Greek Peak Mountain Resort is located across the street and offers an adventure center with a mountain coaster, an aerial ropes course, zip lines, mountain biking trails and chair lift ride.

Modern property located just across the street from the ski resort with a great view of the mountain. Highly recommended for skiing and other outdoor activities in the Greek Peak area.

The place was clean, well furnished for a family of 4-6 to stay in. It is out of town and in a quiet place to just relax from the hectic pace of life. If I come back to visit this is where I will be staying!

The townhouse was very clean, comfortable and plenty of space for the two of us for the weekend. The surrounding area was beautiful and the nearby resorts had convenient restaurants to eat. Definitely enjoyed it and wish we had more time. Couldn't ask for anything better. Just FYSA the loft has some tight spiral stairs that our kids loved but could be an accessibility issue for some folks.

Very Comfortable Place (Hiking weekend)
A friend and I spent the weekend hiking and this was the perfect place for us. Comfortable, clean, well furnished, and got to enjoy breakfast on the deck every morning. Greek Peak itself is an attraction, and the Trax Pub & Grill was convenient and very good. Wineries, Watkins Glen, Buttermilk Falls... all easy day trips. I will stay here again next time I visit the area. Thank you.

Well Appointed Property
As a commercial property manager by trade, and one who dabbles in interior design, I'm pretty particular about maintenance and general interior design choices of the properties I stay in. This property is well appointed with good decorating decisions for the mountain/ski resort type accommodations. It was cute, cozy and clean and had everything we needed to make our short stay enjoyable. I wish we could have stayed longer, and I would definitely search for this property again in the future when I visit the area.

Beautiful view of slopes and less than 5 minute walk to lifts!
The place is awesome. I loved the view of the slopes! And the whole feel is a ski cabin. The living room area was great with ample comfy seats and seats for eating at table and at island. Loved the (gas) fireplace. The kitchen was so well stocked with basics - from oil and vinegar, to coffee filters, to aluminum foil. Note that the amazing proximity to the mountain means being 15 minutes from groceries and restaurants. The one big note is that there's a cool spiral staircase to an awesome loft space with two twin beds (this is in addition to two proper bedrooms with Queen beds). But the sloped ceiling is mostly very, very low. The loft would be great for kids, but not teens and up. Enjoyed the place - a very cozy experience.

Travel baseball parents take note of this place!
We stayed here for almost a week as my son had a baseball tournament nearby so the vicinity was great and so much better (and more cost effective) than staying in a hotel. Here we each had our own room and bathroom, a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out all the time, washer and dryer (so needed after playing sports!), and room to spread out. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Quiet location with great views of the mountains at Greek Peak - you could easily walk across the street to eat at Trax. Ride to downtown Cortland only about 10 minutes on country roads. We will definitely be back! Some small improvements would be to lower the TV on the living room wall, maybe add some games and books for those who don’t bring their own, and maybe up the lighting a bit as it was a little on the dark side.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was very well kept with tasteful decorations. In general we loved the place and would definitely stay again. The touches of class and details were fantastic. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Everything was well stocked and well thought out. If we could have improved things: There isn't a view of the mountain because of overgrown trees and shrubs but the decks were nice for relaxing with coffee or a cocktail. The TVs were cumbersome and difficult to use. The DVD player was dysfunctional. They had just mowed and left the grass on the walk way into the home. The little market down the street closed for Labor Day weekend which was a major inconvenience. Driving into Cortland for things was cumbersome. You could tell that the owners genuinely cared and were very in tuned to guests needs. I work in hospitality and get it! Overall a great stay!!

Great place for a larger family
We are a larger family and have kids ages ranging from 13 to 3 years. This place offered a lot of sleeping options for a larger family, a well stocked kitchen with extras, a dishwasher, a place to catch up on laundry and is a short drive to town, the Ithaca farmers market, Buttermilk state park and is directly across the road from the downhill slopes of Greek Peak. We definitely utilized the kitchen. Thank you for the toiletries, toilet paper and paper towels. These were nice bonuses that some homes don’t offer. The host Beth was friendly and easy to work with. Easy to check in and out. Quick with responses. The downstairs bed my husband and I slept in was very comfy and also the bedroom had a stand fan which was very nice for white noise while sleeping in a new place. While we were here (June 2023) it was a very laid back neighborhood and no noise from neighbors. Very relaxing for our family. The kids loved the loft area. The spiral staircase is tight but it takes very little room away from the living space. There are a lot of stairs if that is a challenge for you, but we were ok with that. It’s a split level living with a loft, main floor and a downstairs for the bedrooms. It was nice having 2 bathrooms. The shower/bath combo upstairs was nice and then the shower downstairs allowed for quick bath times allowing more than one person to go at a time since there were two options. Everything was clean! Dishwasher tabs and laundry soap were also provided.

Wonderful Place
We were there for a family wedding nearby and this condo was perfect for our needs. Beth was very responsive and fabulous to work with. The unit was clean, kitchen was well stocked with the basic needs, my favorite coffee was even there! I know some of the items are left by previous guests, but seriously, we were surprised by all that was available. The towels were nicer than the ones up at the resort! We understand that this is a new venture for Beth and we think she is doing a spectacular job so far! Should you chose this unit, I don't think you wil be disappointed with your stay.
