"Bill and Rosalee are lovely hosts! Very helpful and welcoming.We had a very relaxing stay. The connection with the local culture and foods was top-notch. Warm, engaging, friendly and helpful! Local artist Martine has some amazing art pieces.We ate at Chumis and could not have felt more welcomed by Mirta, the proprietor. Lots of joy and love! Great Tacos Camarrones at Dalis as well. A most needed getaway!"

"Messed up my reservation, didn't let me know. Lost a night for which I wasn't refunded although they offered to, and amenities were not at all as described in Expedia. There's no TV signal, TVs not pre-connected to wifi, no info on the password, gave me pass 3 options none worked. Pretty pics that don't live up to the actual experience. I'm never coming back."

"This beautiful log cabin is perched in the hills where the deck catches the mountain breezes. Bring binoculars for birdwatching! We lived on that deck! The air conditioning is once for sleeping, and the kitchen is small but functional. The drive up to the cabin from the main house is very steep, but we made it up without 4 wheel drive since I am used to driving up hills in snow and ice! If you are not, rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. "We had an amazing time. The scenery was just beautiful. Views are breathtaking and our hosts were fantastic. Loved the little touches with the wine and cookies and treats. So sweet! Bed was very comfortable!The drive up is a little un-nerving the first time but you get used to it.Only recommendations I would make would be to have an ice cube tray and maybe some chair loungers to lay in the sun on the grass. Other than that it.was perfect!"

"We loved this property and I only wish we had more time. The host and the caretaker were responsive. Excellent bird watching in the mornings. Fresh guava to eat off the trees. We had two dinners at the farm next store and they were delicious! A lovely stay and my only wish is we had more time. Ricardo was super friendly and very helpful. A bit tricky to find but excellent directions. I hope to go back some day."

"I stayed a couple of nights with friends, we only wanted a place to talk, play board games, cook some food and relax. This property was perfect for all that, with plenty of sitting areas. The bathroom was very nice, with plenty of space for large groups. The property was very clean and with a nice view. The only 2 things I will recommend the host to update are the couches (maybe a deep clean), they look dirty. The second thing is the futon (this was the 3rd bed), I slept there and it was not...

"The house was well maintained and comfortable (we didn't spend a lot of time there, but the kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable) and the location was perfect for hiking Volcan Barva and starting our CR trip. The only issue we had was with the management company, Vacasa, who didn't communicate our arrival to the house manager, but otherwise it was perfect."
