"This was a great place to stay -- very quiet, just a 10 minute drive to town and 30 minute golf cart ride to Secret Beach. Was booked with the thought the restaurant out front was still open but sadly that was not the case. Great communication with property manager. "Casa Aura Maria was a great house, my family enjoyed the house, pool, and casita. Everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the pool was great, and the property was well maintained. "Our large family group stayed at this beautiful house 6/4/24-6/12/24. 14 of us ranging in age from 10yr to 70yr. traveled to Belize to celebrate my parents 50th wedding Anniversary and had an AMAZING vacation with everything we needed. Cora and Jorge were responsive to our needs and questions, Johnny and his crew were knowledgable, creative and fun snorkel/fishing guides. SO IMPORTANT - I must also mention that one of our family members had a medical emergency while out fishing with Johnny...

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - ROACH INFESTED property (I shared pictures with the local representative), we had NO running water for a full half day (the water tank was never filled prior to renting - this was confirmed with the handyman that showed up). We were unable to cook as the advertised stove was not functional. STAY AWAY!!! The pictures are very misleading!"

"We love being outside of town. The property was really lovely and the staff was great. Very safe and quiet. They have their own bar and restaurant right on the water and there are 3 within 2 miles. Just so you know, San Pedro is a small village. There is only one Dirt road north. We love that we were out of town, however, if you want to keep busy The resort is 7 miles up the road and you will need to rent a golf cart at the resort each time you want to go to town. The resort can schedule a few of the excursions straight from our dock. The excursions were great! They also rent bikes for only five dollars. Just be aware that there are many rutsand puddles. We rented bikes to go north up to tranquility beach, Margarita resort and restaurant. That’s 7 miles one way. It is not advisable to use a golf cart or bike at night. The one way taxi to town is $40-50. "
