The Local Hostel
2.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (2)
"Keep in mind this is a simple hostel (with no curfew). Nevertheless, I booked the more expensive private room. All my expectations were met. I had a clean, comfortable room/bed to sleep in. The hostel is along the main road and is near the center of town, but my room was very quiet -- I slept very well. The bathrooms are separate -- the one I used was roomy and the shower was fantastic. Cabin in the woods. Minutes to Watkins Glen State Park, Racetrack & Wine Trail!
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (40)
"The area and location is semi-secluded and close to the state park. The property is clean and well maintained. The outside furniture is unwelcoming and needs to be upgraded. The bedroom does not have heat so it gets alittle cold. Overall the place is nice but overpriced based on what is provided. "

THE GRAPE ESCAPE - OFF GRID CABIN - Wine Trail & Lake View - Pet Friendly!
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (45)
"Beautiful view. Hard to overstate how gorgeous it is. Host provides a lot of helpful mod-cons that we didn't expect. Only major issue is ticks! If you bring a pet, do not let it stray from stone driveways and make sure it's up to date on preventive meds. Our (always leashed) dog must have brushed some high grass on walking trails on property and had more ticks on her than I have ever seen at once. "
