"Upon arrival, we were told to open the large gates leading up to the driveway of the house. The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. As we approached the house, the ground were extremely unkempt: overgrown, unclean pool and the tennis court area had seen better days. As we opened the main door, we noticed the wallpaper in the hallway...

"The hosts were wonderful, the area was beautiful and accommodations were excellent. It was a perfect place to spend our anniversary."

"The communication was difficult - the owner did phone once, but we were cut off. The property is untidy, pool is green and tennis court has had no use for years. Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere. Breakfast was scant and...

"Grâce à la bienveillence et le gentillesse de PAPY et MAMY ca s'est trés bien passé car on ne pouvais pas miser sur le professionnalisme de Hotel .com qui n'avais pas prévenu les hôtes de ma réservation , comment vous dire l'étonnement de papy mamie quand je leur ai annoncé jeudi à 17H30,ma réservation pour le soir même Encore merci à vous pour cet accueil et la bonne adresse de la pizzeria pour le soir "

"We had a wonderful stay. The property itself is so quaint and charming! The building is quite old but recently remodeled; our rooms were very comfortable. The proprietors were delightful and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed two nice dinners during our stay. The weather was pleasant so we were able to dine al-fresco on the terrace. Such a wonderful way to enjoy a pleasant evening with family/friends. We would love to return and stay again at this property!"

"We hebben genoten in villa castel met leuke gastvrouw. We zijn goed verzorgd en de vila was prachtig vanbinnen. Buitenom oogt alles wat vervallen, maar wat een rust en het heeft ook zijn charme. Mooi uitzicht over de vallei en Rhone met zicht op Lyon. Erg genoten. Goede wijn ook."
