The gourmet meals they prepared for breakfast and dinner were always delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the gracious owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. "Fantastic views of the lake and stellar service. Accommodations were comfortable. The mini split heating unit in the bedroom made the room warm within minutes. There are lots of amenities on the property to enjoy in Spring and Summer. "

"Hotel staff was great. They gave us sleds to use on the hills next to the hotel. Hotel could use some updates but it was clean. The breakfast was great but the staff that took care of replenishing the breakfast and keeping things clean went above and beyond. He was up wiping tables constantly and making sure everything was clean and organized at the buffet, he even offered to make my son a special breakfast the following day but we were leaving. Very impressed! "

"I'm glad that the listing no longer includes breakfast in the amenities list, because there is none. Owner did make some good restaurant recommendations when asked. A surprising lacking amenity was shampoo/conditioner, so take your own -- this is a budget hotel, quaint (decked out for the season) and sufficient. "I found this property last Fall when I was in town on short notice. Being a small businessman myself, I always try and support non franchise hotels when possible. The Railroad Inn looked good on Expedia so I took the chance. I loved it! Super accommodating staff when I needed late check in, and a clean room with a comfortable bed. When we decided to do a weekend in Cooperstown with friends, I remembered this place and brought it up. We stayed two nights and everyone loved it. The suite with the circular staircase was super cool. The staff AGAIN went over the top to accommodate our needs and everyone remarked how comfortable their beds were and how nice the rooms were. BRAVO Railroad Inn! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cooperstwon."
