"We stayed in a Shepherd's hut and it was great! Lovely location for going walking (only about 10min drive from a car park to go up old man coniston) Was super cosy and warm inside the hut, everything you need to prepare food, a tv to watch Netflix etc and bed was decent. It did get quite damp in there at night leaving the corners of the bed a bit wet in the morning but nothing too extreme. (Might be worse after more than 2 nights though.) "Fab location with stunning view from the breakfast room. Near enough to walk into Coniston main town within 5-10 minutes. Great that parking was available. Pub just across the road serving good food. Tracey was friendly and amenable. Great breakfast. Compact room but perfectly adequate. "

"Good size room and bathroom, clean & comfortable. Cozy bar/restauranr. Dinner/breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Perfecr place to visit for our 20th Wedding Anniversary."

"Only reason not 5 star was only realised when arrived the pool was closed. Granddaughter so disappointed that we had to find public swimming pool to take her too. Accommodation excellent lots of room for 4 though can have 6. Would definitely stay again. "

"The Daffodil is conveniently located for easy access to Grasmere and the nearby lakes. It is ideal for a walking holiday and is surrounded by the beautiful Lakeland fells and lakes. The hotel staff are friendly and the hotel offers a good menu with a range of meals at reasonable prices. "

"This is a lovely hotel. It is set in a stunning location, with views from the conservatory across the lake. The hotel is beautiful inside, with lovely dining areas serving excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, a lovely spa and swimming pool, and nicely decorated bedrooms. The hotel is also dog-friendly. The Windermere cruises depart from outside the hotel, and it is also a short walk across the car park to the Lakeside Aquarium and Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway."
