Initially attracted by the price which was a little cheaper than others in the area and I try to stay in pubs where possible rather than budget chain hotel type places. Found the whole experience to be really lovely. "My wife and I stayed overnight to meet up with family and have a meal together. The room was lovely, clean, and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and clean with good shower. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! We had a meal in the restaurant which was wonderful, the breakfast was equally as good! All in all a great stay and I can see us revisiting. "

My only concern was our window would Not stay open & we were very hot during the night although a fan was in the room could not sleep with it on, In the morning very little hot water pressure, this could be the someone else had the hot water running at the same time, these were very small negatives but would definitely stay here again "

"Easy check in, on first impression room was a good size , bed comfortable , bathroom the toilet looked like it had been broken for dome time, we did message North gate to inform them along with photos, but no response , crack in toilet seat is unhygienic ! Cobwebs in the bathroom as well Breakfast was ok We did inform someone about the toilet seat again when we checked out"
