The property is situated in a quiet seasonal RV Park. The view from the porch is fantastic! There is a canopy on the porch and we spent several rainy hours on the porch enjoying good conversation with family. We had two nights to enjoy a campfire in the firepit with the provided wood. Inside the clean and air conditioned house is a dining room with seating for at least 8. Comfy step down livingroom for kids to have their own space. In addition, was a sun porch with a daybed perfect for my mom. There is even a back room for storage of food and equiptment. The kitchen has lots of counter space and pots and pans (even a large corn/spaghetti pot). Their was a Kerig and a coffee maker and even a dishwasher. We used paper products mostly, but there were plates and cups and silverware etc. for at least 8 people. The washer and dryer right in the house were so convienient. The sheets and towels (even beach towels) were provided! Loved the two large bathrooms too! The grill on the deck worked well. It rained most of the week, but we rented a pontoon boat for a few hours. There is a dock for fishing right in front of the house (across the street). The other amenities like a camp store, indoor swimming pool, pontoon, row boat and kayak rentals and jump pad are at the other campground a minutes drive down the road. The owner was really nice and very helpful. All the staff at the campground were friendly. There is a small restaurant for a quick bite down the road, but I would suggest Leisures in Livonia at the top of the lake. Dress is casual and food is delicious.
To enter the campground your car needs to go up a somewhat steep hill but all our cars made it fine. Parking at the house is on a hill, but even with all the rain our cars stayed in place.
This place would make a perfect destination for families and extended families or several couples or a girls week/weekend away. Don't let the fact that it is in a campground discourage you. It was so quiet and the other campers were really friendly!!
