"The cabin is situated in the grounds of the manor house that once belonged to the author Laurence Durell. The hostess is amazing and cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Walk out of the secure grounds and you are in the old town of Sommieres, with its numerous restaurants and bars . This place could not score higher if you want a base to explore the area."

"We (2 adults, 1 child) stayed at the Gite d’Emma for a very hot week in August. The gite is very modern and very well equipped with everything you could need. Danielle was a lovely hostess and we managed to communicate well despite our limited French. The location is a beautiful and tranquil one outside the village and close to the lagoons. "We chose the location because the transport links and walkable distance to places we needed to visit. However, our room window was toward a noisy street and it was pretty loud all night. It’s very clean and cosy, but the lighting in the rooms is really only suitable if you want to just sleep there, if you need to work a bit there is no adequate lighting and only one power socket by the desk. It’s a perfect hotel for holiday stay, but not perfect so for work trips. "
