Restful family holiday
We enjoyed a short stay at Palm Tree Cottage during October school holidays. A, great place for kids who enjoy outdoors. Friendly lambs, beautiful bush walks and horses kept us pleasantly occupied for our 3 days.

Thank you for an amazing place to stay. The house is a home away from home, with everything you need & more, situated on a stunning farm. Thank you Ngaire for your wonderful hospitality & great communication. Really appreciate you sharing all the things your farm has to offer. Thank you also Belinda for an awesome horse trek on the farm & down to the beach. We loved our stay & are already planning our next trip to return. Highly recommended place to stay.

Bliss
An awesome get away from the hustle and bustle of all life's distractions. A slice of how life use to be ...simple, uncomplicated, a place where you can breath and find yourself again. All of us totally enjoyed our stay and are thinking of making such an event an annual thing. Awesome hostess who made us feel so welcome and nothing was a problem, the farm itself is a true gem and we felt very priveledged to be able to roam free and enjoy all that nature has to offer there. Telic was a cool lady who helped us feed the eels, which were a big highlight amongst most. Totally recommend this place as a awesome stay. Hope to do horse riding next time.

Tranquility for the whole family including Pets! With so much to do
We loved our stay here, its not flash but its everything you need for a great holiday that was pet friendly, we went swimming in the stream, saw the pet eels, went 4wd up towards the gold mine that was a fun adventure and the views were just spectacular! We went down the road and went for a fish everyday, easy access for the boat aswell. Has everything you need for a holiday including washing machine to make the load at home abit easier. Kitchen was great lounge was cosy and the rooms were a really good size. We also got some honey and it was delicious the best honey! I love that they have good fridge and freezer space. The area is so lovely with beautiful native trees and wildlife such a breath of freash air. We will definitely be coming back Ngaire was very friendly and easy to communicate with. If your looking for somewhere to get away that wont break the bank that is suitable for the whole family look no further!

Colville Cracker!
Don't expect the Ritz, but this is a lovely place for a family to stay as part of a holiday. Just 2 mins drive from downtown Colville. Just 2 mins walk from a stream with a deep shady swimming hole. The stream also has tame eels (Eelvis and Eelvira were our favourites) - but fear not the eels and the swimming hole are separate. House not really equipped to cope with wheelchairs. Would recommend.

Get away from it all
This property is one of my faves. Not because of its luxuries (you won’t find any) but because it takes you back to a slice of Kiwi life that’s becoming hard to find - good, solid, basic accommodation. Always clean, a bit worn in places, dodgy internet… but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The surrounding walls are some of the best in the area.

One of the best places that I was lucky to stay in.
Beautiful, clean farm house. Very accommodating owners to allow our pets. The farm has an amazing outlook flat pastures to bush and hillside back drop. Clear water runs through the property straight from the mountain springs. So much that the farms offers with walks, swims, horse riding, motor bike trails or just chilling with a good book and a glass of wine.

Home Away From Home
We absolutely loved our stay on the farm (family of 4 + our sphynx cat). The Cottage was clean on arrival and the kitchen well equipped with all the basics. There are many activities on the farm to keep kids entertained; swimming in the creek, horse riding, many hiking trails to choose from, just to name a few and a short drive to a beautiful beach. It’s about a 25min drive to Coromandel Town where you’ll find awesome attractions for young and old alike! It was a pleasure to deal with Ngaire and she was very accommodating. We will definitely be back sometime in the future!

Lovely spot just marked cleanliness low as we had to wash most of the dishes before we used them. All beds were made up ready to use, which was great. But on the website suggested only double bed made up. So we ended up taking bedding that we didn't use. Still a fabulous place to stay and our dog had a ball!

Perfect Rustic Retreat
OK you're not getting the Hilton here. No luxuries. No special touches. No truffled chocolates and bottle of bubbles. What you ARE getting is a slice of kiwi life that's as authentic as it is unique. Do yourself a favour and escape for a weekend to a lifestyle that your grandparents (and their parents) would have been used to. That said, it's all clean and comfortable. But you'll likely find yourself wandering through the farm and up the hills into some of the most peaceful and magical landscapes in the region, if not the country. I brought my dog and we did some great walks. All in all a wonderful, authentic and very special kiwi experience. Loved it.
