This is a lovely room in a quaint historic large home just a few miles down the road from the Omega Institute. I stayed there b/c Omega had no more housing. Lynn was a delightful and accommodating hostess. Would definitely stay again.
Very restful quiet and lovely colonial decorated property. Great coffee and continental breakfast in morning. Would recommend for those looking for a quiet country setting.
The hosts were friendly and hospitable. The property is gorgeous. We were only 30 minutes from Hyde Park, which was the reason for our visit. 10 out of 10, would absolutely stay here again.
I really loved the quiet and they were so hospitable. the house and my room was spotless. and she made me coffee in the am. as i left early . it was extremly convenient to Omega . where i commuted. the bed was So comfortable. everything was perfect

Don't judge a book by it's cover
The listing sounded lovely online. It was different in person. The room I stayed in, had a hall bath shared by the owner. This wasn't disclosed on the listing. The porches and rooms downstairs which were listed as being available to guests were not. The room I stayed in had no external lock for when I was gone. The walls and ceilings were spackled but not painted and there were cob webs. The tub did not drain well. That said, it was close to Omega which was convenient.

Spoke with host then less than 18 hrs our reservation was canceled due to : no vacancy". I made reservation in June....the cakendar was "open"...Host could have told me it was cancelled when i contacted her 18 hrs to confirm! We were on route when I got the email notification. At least my reservation payment was fully refunded. Not happy....huge inconvenience. Figured someone else wanted to stay more days and thats why we were cancelled.

I couldn't sleep
The property is very nice, and was reasonably priced, particularly given that it was Memorial day weekend AND Bard college graduation, but I had two major problems:
1) I contacted the owner before booking, and asked how far away Red Hook was. I was told it was 5 miles. It was 12 miles, down small twisty roads that were not fun to drive at night. I would not have booked this property if I had known this.
2) The room with single beds has five large windows, with lovely views, but the room was in broad daylight from 5.30am. I couldn't sleep and had headaches all day. Again, I would not have booked this property if I had known this.

Gorgeous country setting
The hosts greeted us with flashlights as we were arriving past dark. They were warm welcoming and friendly. They were open to my daughter who is in college nearby spending the night with me which I appreciated. The house is great for lovers of antiques and farmhouse living but for those who require absolute cleanliness & privacy it may not be the best fit. If you stay here in the winter you will want to bring layers as the bedroom upstairs was quite chilly but it made up for that with the stunning views out the windows.
The owners were very hospitable. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to the things we wanted to see (Rhinebeck, Hyde Park)
It's a lovely old house with two adorable Persian cats. From the very first moment you can tell there is a real artist living in this place. I loved the atmosphere and "soul" of the house. Plus donuts 🍩 coffee in the morning was a real treat!
Cute 1800’s rambling home that needs some paint and repairs outside but set in acres of lovely, shaded, quiet countryside with fun goats and cows across the street. The owners are very pleasant.
The house is filled with lovely and tasteful antiques - very nicely done. The twin bedroom is up some steep, twisting stairs, leading to a sitting room and two bedrooms, one that belongs to the female owner who also shared the bathroom, though it wasn’t a problem. The twin bedroom could have been improved with some reading chairs (since the living room was off limits except for breakfast) and a new desk chair. There was a second guest bedroom though we never saw it.
The price was very reasonable, but for that, you need to understand that breakfast was a box of store donuts and box of cereal set out for the guests along with coffee and microwave tea. Seating was in the lovely setting of the living room and dining room.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with interesting/pleasant hosts and lovely country setting. Enjoy.

Comfortable bed, easy check in. Saw deer in the backyard, nice!
Did not like that it was advertised as a private bath but actually the bath was shared with hostess. No problem, but it should not be advertised as that.
What a great little place. The owners are lovely people. We went up for a wedding about 15 minutes away and what a treat! We will absolutely stay there again should we find ourselves up that way.
Hosts were very nice/likeable and easy to converse with. Light Breakfast of choice of cereals and Entemann's with tea or coffee.
Our beds were comfortable with quilts and pillows. We chose to read in our room after returning and checking in.
We left earlier am to go to Rhinebeck but were pleased with our stay here
