"I was looking for a place to write and walk about Galway. This was a great location and VERY quiet! Expect a mile walk to get most places but there was a fantastic little pub three blocks away with nightly music by local friends sitting together, not a tourist place. I chose this place to be sort of near the train station but not in the heart of the city. "Not only was the location, perfect for attending evens like Trad on the Prom down on the water, it was only a 15 minute walk into town where Quay street fun lured us to music dancing and laughing. . We loved staying at Niles Lodge! It’s a beautiful historic home that has positive energy. The gas station across the street had all kinds of food, ATM, newspapers and very friendly people.i would go back in a heartbeat! We also attended the Galway races and won on race 3!!!
