"Great proper English pub dog friendly. All the staff are helpful and friendly the room we were in ticked all the boxes . We stayed for 2 nights clean towels on second day . Traditional pub with good rooms . Went into Chichester which was about 20min drive great day out beautiful Cathedral. We will going back to the fox goes free ."

"Room was spacious and clean with walk in shower and comfortable. Light outside on the walkway was a little intrusive as we are used to a dark room. We ate in the restaurant and food was excellent and served hot which was a bonus,only downside was slow service. Breakfast was good and excellent choice available. Service at breakfast was very good. "Beautiful place set in a great location for peace but close enough to the bustle. Staff are amazing and felt more like ‘home ‘. . I’ve employ them all. Bar. Restaurant . Management. Food was superb. Parking easy and beautiful building. Rooms modern but somehow felt ‘right’ for the era. Only negative is rooms are small and a sleeping head is very close to WC . Problem not for most but I get up a lot. The joint on bed was noticeable but just meant could not cuddle. Would definately stay again...
