"We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It is an older hotel but absolutely blew us away with the room and service provided. The room was huge, had everything plus more. Convenient to the Kintetsu station, a bit of a walk from the JR station (1-2km, rubbish footpath near JR so a bit difficult with suitcase). Neighbourhood is personified by the fact there is a "No solicitation" sign on the street outside, and certainly there were a few ladies of the night around when I went to the train station at 5am, but as in most places in Japan, I never felt unsafe walking around (solo female traveler). JR WEST GROUP VIA INN NAGOYA EKIMAE TSUBAKICHO

"This property was very close to the train station and surrounded by a host of food options as well as shopping of all sorts from clothing to electronics. Our room was clean and the space was big enough to move around and enjoy but not so large as to be in excess. We really loved the bath/shower in our room. It’s the first time I had that kind of a shower. The shower area was separate from the tub where you stand outside of the tub to shower. It was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and left nothing for want. The room was outfitted with an electric kettle and all the coffee, cream/sugar, tea, wash cloth, etc. was available in the lobby, take whatever you need/want. I liked the concept. We made use of the laundry facilities and it was very simple and easy to use. The machine was an upright with wash/dry capability all in one. Soap was also included with the price as it automatically dispensed it. We used the max time for wash/dry which cost 500 yen. A electric lock was also part of the fee which secured our clothing, allowing us to set it and forget it, coming down from our room when time was completed. I have no fear of staying in another Via Inn property if this is an example of what the other properties are like. Thank you!"

"We live our stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean, and felt luxurious. Staff were great, and the hotels location was a ten minute walk from the main station and shops, yet it was still quiet and relaxed in the area around the hotel. And there were great food options located close-by. While we didn’t eat at the hotel we can attest that there coffee was excellent and we recommend making sure you get your morning coffee here"
