It might be because due to moulds between the bathtubs and the bathroom walls of every room, and the hotel staffs were trying to get rid of them using bleach. "Property very clean, and staff was very nice. We could enjoy the onsen with ocean view in the room. It's far from the city but overall, my stay was very quiet and relaxing. Recommend to take a taxi from the JR Choshi station, so you don't need to wait or worry about the schedule of the CD line. It's easy when going back to Tokyo, cuz the bus stop is right in front of the hotel."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Daishin Ryokan the staff were very nice and spoke good English. I had a room over looking the river and it is easy to walk to from the train station. The hotel is not new but that is what is really good about it it has a lot of personality and character but if you want modern it is probably not for you but really liked it thanks for a great stay"

"10 minutes walk from the station. Tatami room was big enough for 2 persons. Great view from Onsen (public bath separeted by gender), wide range of fish at breakfast. Room was around 20000 yen and this should be fair. You can also borrow electric bicycle at here."
