Left Stranded With My Family By Property Mgmt
** PLEASE BEWARE WHEN BOOKING THIS PROPERTY, I HATE TO SEE YOU STRANDED IN A FOREIGN LAND" Sorry I will try to make my review short but will need to give details.
My wife booked the property from California through Orbitz online. The check-in was 2 pm and we got there early and hoping to check-in on time at 2 pm because the weather was hot and everyone was tired. Took a tour of the town and showed up to the property about 1:40 pm. The front desk called the property management company (Holy cow) and gave me the phone, I introduced myself and asked that we are ready to check-in. The guy on the phone told the property won't be ready till 5 pm and I explained the reservation paper says 2 pm and my family is tired and we have luggage with us.
Not to mention he was very rude on the phone! As soon as I got done talking to him on the phone I called Orbitz to sort this out (remember: my wife phone incurred roaming charges for talking to Orbizt for 45 minutes). Orbitz put me on hold for 30 minutes and made calls to proprty managment company/ower and but no luck and Orbitz got the same response.
Out of desperation I called back the property was willing to check-in at 5 pm but this time was told check-in would be at 6 pm and after another couple calls with property mgmt he told me he was busy and I will have to cancel the reservation.
Bottom line, not to mention the inconvenience!! I booked another hotel and incurred the extra cost (roaming charges, taxi and the new hotel)
