"The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant was quaint and cosy. The open fire was ablaze as we sat and had our evening meal. The food was superb. Recommend the Duck and Port parfait. We stayed in room number 1 which was a bit noisy from the early hours. I understand that this is an old property (with some modernisation) but I could hear traffic from the road outside, snoring from the room above along with their alarm vibrating at 6.15am. Also this room states a "countryside...

"The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...

"The property was spectacular. What made it even better was Debbie. She greeted us, took us to our beautiful room and pampered us throughout our visit. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We will never forget our stay at the Jack Russell and plan to return as often as possible!!!"
