"Not only does the hotel look grand on the outside it’s excellent on the inside too. From the friendly welcome at reception to the exceptionally well appointed bedroom I couldn’t fault this lovely hotel. From the thick fluffy towels to the little cartons of milk on the hospitality tray that did indeed “taste like real milk” just as it said on the lid… everything I needed was thoughtfully provided….tissues and a little biscuit to go with my cuppa…..the little things that so many hotels have now stopped doing made this hotel really stand out! The hotel was lovely the grounds were lovely and the location was convenient but quiet. We didn’t eat in the hotel so I can’t say what the restaurant and bar are like but judging by everything else I would guess it would b excellent too! I almost felt like I’d stepped back in time and was getting good old fashioned British service in a modern setting. Wonderful!"

"I really enjoyed my entire stay but would single out the breakfast as a highlight. Given that it was complimentary, the standard and selection was impressive. I also liked that on 3 separate occasions I saw areas of the hotel being cleaned by staff to show how important appearance is for their guests."
