Great budget option with everything we needed!
We really enjoyed staying at Starway Inn. The room is obviously older and a little beat up but we didn't care about that one but. We slept great every night and had clean towels brought every day! The restaurant right next door was awesome and super convenient to the highway. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Chicago next year!

It is right next to i94. You can hear highway traffic. The immediate area is like a highway offramp. I wouldn't say i felt unsafe, but there is nothing within walking distance.

room was dated but clean and warm. Shower preseure could have been greater. TV was nice flat screen. Bed was comfy, 4 pillows was nice. Frig/freezer and micro wave good to have. Area was OK, quiet and did not notice folks loitering and such. The bar next door was nice, ate and drank a bit there. Overall if I was in the area again would stay here.

I booked this place because it had decent reviews and was very budget friendly. Staff was very nice. Room was decently clean. But very, very run down building and rooms. Did not smell very good. It was not at all what I was expecting. Will not return.

I always wanted to stay at a "shady" motel. Without the "shady" 😆 this checked all boxes... it had sort of that Bates Motel feel. However!!! It was safe, clean, and I was comfortable after my inital nerves calmed down lol. It was fine.. 😁

Rating is per the price point. Pros: - fast and painless check in. - bed was fair, room spacious. Cons: - the bathroom was in disrepair. Peeled paint, tile, fixtures missing (like toilet paper holder). It also smelled quite awful, likely unclean drains. - right under a major highway, so very loud. Soundproofing between rooms above/below is also not great. - Surrounding area does not inspire confidence, felt unsafe at multiple points. If what you need is a place to put your head down for a night on a budget, it's serviceable. Just don't go exploring the local area too much.

Surprisingly comfortable
For a cheap motel outside Chicago it was amazingly comfortable. Even though it was right off the highway it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was great. The restaurant/ bar next door was friendly with good food.

This a great budget freindly hotel. The staff is nice and room was clean. All facilities worked, what else can you expect for the price? Sure it's an old property and won't win any beauty pageants, but it checked all the boxes for what I needed.

Super clean
Travel nurse after 3 weeks of bad hotels I found this one. The bed is comfortable, 4 pillows! Room is super clean. We’re very happy her and will continue to stay here 3 days a week until the contract is over. Thanks for the comfortable, affordable room

Peaceful Weekend
It's a motel. I have no major complaints. I stayed there for a peace of mind, and it was definitely peaceful, no bed bugs, the shower wasn't the best, the freezer wasn't clean, but like I said I got what I came for.

Pretty good. Actually checked in on Friday, Oct 07. The room wasn't as clean as I expected, but overall the stay was good. We ended up with a different room on Sunday, Oct 09-Oct 10, when we checked out.

Great place for sleep and shower, no frills
The room smelled fresh and linens were clean. It is obviously an older (probably at least 30 years) motel and had some cosmetic changes due to its age and outdoor room entrances. Staff very nice and I thought it was a good deal for $75. It is however, next to the freeway and with the normal aging process and being an outdoor entrance, the rooms are obviously not sound proof. The AC was quiet and efficient. Again, very nice place for bed and shower, no frills.

Property lied&still charged me after cancelliing!!
After bring discriminated against, I found Starway Inn and paid ahead of time! This property was filthy snd scary looking, so I let them know I was cancelling before the deadline at 4 p.m. & they still charged me for the property! I would really like my money back, please!

I don't recommend for anyone, their disloyalty was shameful, they charged me over 40 bucks cause I checked in 2 hours early, I booked Quinn bed non-smoking but changed to king bed worse than tobacco a weed disgusting smell very disturbing due to that I couldn't turn the heat though it was cold.
