I stayed at Heuan Pak Dee for 3 nights. It had great reviews and was cheaper than the hotel I stayed at the week prior, so I decided to try it out.
Pros:
Attentive staff, clean and spacious rooms, close to great restaurants, shopping, night markets, massage places etc.
Cons:
My room was closest to the front desk and street and it was noisy (for me). The dorm washroom was above my room and you could hear the water running anytime someone used the facilities, late at night, early morning which kept me up. I asked if I could be moved to a different room after the first night and I got moved. I could still hear noise from the road late at night, anytime loud cars or motorbikes rode by.
The lights stay on outside the hotel, and because there’s glass above the door the room wasn’t as dark as I’d like it when I sleep.
Perhaps I’m more sensitive to light and noise while sleeping or trying to go to sleep than others might be, I don’t know...
I think it’s a nice place and if it wasn’t for the noise and lights I would recommend it to others.
