"We stayed for two nights while introducing our kids to skiing at nearby Liberty resort. We were fortunate to get 6inches of beautiful snow while we were there, and enjoyed tremendously watching it blanket the trees around us Eileen was very helpful and ensured we had snow shovels and salt! "This small cottage is so comfortable and well appointed. Directly across from the C&O Canal Towpath; it only takes a few minutes to get on the path. Although there is a lot that you can do in the area, we were in need of respite, so other than taking multiple walks a day, we enjoyed time on the expansive screened-in porch, looking out at the beautiful scenery and listening and watching the birds.We also enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and using the outside grill for bacon to burgers. "Lovely spot adjacent to an area winery. Nice open views of open fields. Walking access to battlefield trails. Not far to explore Harper's Ferry,. Sheperdstown close by for delicious dinner out. A couple of breweries added to the end of hike experience. Three bedrooms gave us room to stretch out (I used one for sewing while it rained!). Kitchen well appointed. A terrific place to stay."
