The guest house is located in a lovely neighborhood where it felt safe to walk well after dark. It is a short 15 minute walk to the tube, with nice restaurants and neighborhood shops nearby. "​We had an exceptional stay at Martel Guest House, and Phil, the host, was outstanding. The accommodation was impeccably clean and provided all the amenities one could desire. The parking facilities were excellent, offering a safe and convenient place for our vehicle. Considering the reasonable rates, it's a wonder why anyone would choose to pay exorbitant prices in central London when this gem is available. We will undoubtedly return to Martel Guest House on our next visit to London."

"We loved how reasonable the place was, and how close it was to the airport. However, the mattress was pretty cheap, the shower in room number four was clogged and began to overflow pretty soon after beginning the shower. Finally, a shuttle one-way cost 42 pounds which seems unreasonable for a 10 minute drive. Taxis were cheaper but they were still 30 pounds. If you don’t have a lot of luggage, you can take the subway and it’s not too bad of a walk. "
