"Stayed several nights hoping for an aurora show. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be for us. We still had a nice Alaska experience with a beautiful wide open setting and a cozy cabin. We even were treated to the mama moose that frequents the property. The owner was very responsive to questions. The driveway was very long and after several inches of new snow, we were glad we had a car with studs. "

"If you are looking for a place to get away, this is where to go. Very secluded, very relaxing! We did a friends solo trip. Got to see the lights every night. Many options on things to do there. Prices are super reasonable, especially for drinks and food. The staff is amazing. Only little things I have to say is...water taste terrible (like sulfer) but one of the workers let us know where to get the "good water" at. Rooms are a bit small and super hot. We had both windows open and fan but were still really hot. "

"The house is beautiful and clean. Has everything you need. The location is perfect for peace and nature, and auroras 100%. There’s a grocery store very near. We loved it and 100% recommend it."

"Our family had an amazing stay over the Christmas holiday. Cabin was clean and well maintained. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub in the cold temps. Great quiet neighborhood allowed for nice walks. Also close proximity to town made it easy for dining and grocery shopping. Check in with Ron was easy with great communication. Highly recommend! Thank you! "

"The communication with the host was excellent from booking through departure. The cabin was perfect for our family of four and has everything you will need. The view from the property is gorgeous and would be perfect any time of year. On a clear night, it felt like you were sitting among the stars and not under them. Additionally- You will not find a better sled dog experience in all of Alaska!! It was simply the best!"

"First.let me get the bad out of the way. The water, especially in the shower stops randomly but give it a few second and it comes back. Disorienting at first but you get used to it.Remember it’s well water brought in by pump. When it’s 30 below it will need some patience!.That’s it for negatives. Just know that it’s out of town — which is why it’s quiet and peaceful and you really can see the Aurora Borealis!We arrived during a massive snowstorm. As soo. As it stopped, they came to plow the driveway and shovel the porch, much appreciated!The chalet itself is very cozy and comfortable. There is parking right by the porch. The cleaned I g requirements were minimal -wipe up your messes and start the dishwasher take out the trash. That’s a welcome change from most places that require guests to strip beds and so laundry.I’m sure there are posher rentals, but they come with posher prices. This place was fantastic, well-appointed and an absolute delight! Don’t pass this by. It’s a wonderful home base to enjoy Fairbanks area and even to just sit back in and drink some hot cocoa and relax!"
