"Really enjoyable 2 night stay while exploring Cambridge. Breakfasts very good with no complaints, lovely building & grounds. Only negatives were that the only dining available was more a cafe than a restaurant & there wasn't a nice lounge to relax in afterwards. It would have been ideal to relax with a drink in the evenings in one of the old rooms like the Stuart Room with an open fire in it. Instead we ate both nights at The 3 Horseshoes pub which is a 5min walk & is highly recommended."

"Terrific staff. Very large room, king bed we're excellent linens. The bathroom towel warmer was a nice plus. They were very welcoming when we arrived and took a straight to our room even though it was very late. We slept well and really enjoyed the easy walk into town. About 8 minutes. Excellent parking right out front, completely off the street. I could hear a very slight amount of noise from the street but there was also a fan in the room and that blocked it out nicely. "The room was excellent. It was clean and comfortable with all you would need for your needs and comfort. The toilet and shower facility was first class. All appliances were working properly and the shower and toilet were spotless. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was well cooked and plentiful with all tastes catered for. "Last minute booking for 1 night, as got tickets to a gig at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. Absolutely loved this hotel. Quirky, clean, comfortable and the little cocktail bar off the lobby is gorgeous. Staff all very friendly. The hotel was full, so parking wasn’t a bit of a pain. I wasn’t aware you can book parking at time of booking, so would recommend doing this. £15 a night from memory. "

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay!
