"I took a side trip to Châteauroux between matches of the World Cup Soccer tournament so I could spend two days visiting the Brenne Nature Reserve. Of the six hotels I’ve stayed at on this trip, this one has been easily the best. Terrific hosts, good breakfast and dinner service, and a top-rate room at a very reasonable rate. A good walkable location in the city center as well."

A kind gentleman answered and informed that room was ready with door left unlocked and key on the bed. The hotel has a quaint feel to it. "We booked the wrong dates and tried to change. Hotels.com staff couldn’t change the booking as no one at the hotel spoke English. We tried via email and never got a response, so asked our French Airbnb hosts to call, hotel refused to do anything over the phone and said they would reply to our email. Never heard from them. Terrible customer service avoid like the plague "
