"Great place to stay. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was really powerful and could be adjusted to however hot you preferred. Food in the pub was excellent too. I've just booked to go again in a couple of weeks :-)"

"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"We had a fabulous stay there, the rooms were well equipped and furnished, very warm & homely, felt newly decorated yet reflected the heritage of the very old building that The Windmill is. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and was delicious and well presented."

"A lovely countryside stay. The pub is beautiful, a great mix of an old pub with modern design. Everything feels lovely and clean. Huge beds! I would say though, we stayed on a Sunday and the road out the front on the Monday morning was quite noisy (rush hour, bin men and gas refill right outside the window of our room). I doubt the rooms were full with it being a Sunday, so it would have been good if they put us out the back. If you can, request a room at the back of the building! "

"Very nice pub/hotel, nice log fire, lovely room’s, and big big old fashioned bath tub in the room, large bed, only drawback no television in the room.very limited lunch items available, the same with the evening menu, very small presented and very expensive steak meal,breakfast was tasty but very strange to have no marmalade offered or a refil of tea/coffee and the full english was very small. Staff were very nice"

"Everything about our stay could not be faulted. Friendly reception on arrival. Told all we needed to know straight away and made to feel very welcome. Separate restaurants as we had our dogs with us and we were the only ones in ours but still were treated very attentively. Good varied menu with several specials on offer. "We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island. Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. "
