"Friendly staff and a unique layout. It made for a memorable experience. Being able to get my daughter a stuffed badger and beaver helped give her positive memories of our first solo trip together. The pizza was also very good, even though I over ordered and didn't have a fridge to store it in, so that was a bummer. "

"It was beautiful and peaceful. The only "problem" I had was the gps kept sending everyone up a dirt road hill. So be mindful there is a different way if your gps sends you up a dirt hill."

"A cozy and beautiful place to stay. Host was responsive to our requests. We really liked to character of the loft. There was plenty of room to relax. Petersburg is a quaint little town with good breweries and places to eat."

"Gorgeous property with lovely details all around. Everywhere you looked, there was beauty. We had three families come together for a weekend of cooking and low key New Year’s Eve fun and this venue was just perfect for all of us. The library is stocked with games, puzzles, and books and the kitchen has mostly everything you need to create a scrumptious meal (it is more geared towards cooking for larger groups). Outside is a lovely fire pit and the town square is a short walk down the hill where...

"Charming house and neighborhood… The space was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of linens, well appointed kitchen, cozy front porch. Perfect distance for driving in to Springfield to see the Lincoln House and Presidential Museum. We came specifically for the cicada emergence and were not disappointed!!! They were out in full force at the Lincoln Memorial Gardens! I highly recommend choosing the Fullerton House for your vacation!"

Don't miss this gem!

"Big Horse Inn is a hidden gem in this part of Illinois. It is perfectly located, close to Dickson Mounds (great hiking trails), Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, and the Illinois/Spoon River area. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Self check-in could not have been easier. Don't miss the attached Black Maple coffee shop for delicious breakfast and lunch options (and coffee, of course). The inn is within easy walking distance of a traditional small-town diner, Casey's, and Dairy Queen, so plenty of options for any dining budget!"
