Ok for an overnight stop

"The room was a mixed bag—comfortable enough for a short stay, but hygiene standards left much to be desired. The carpet bore visible stains, giving an unkempt feel, and the towels were far from fresh, with a worn-out texture. While the basics for comfort were there, the overall cleanliness could use significant improvement to match expectations."

"Friendly staff. Old hotel with small rooms, most do not have a bathroom/toilet so there are shared toilets & showers on the staircase between floors. Great location by Russell Square, 20 minutes walk to Center Point, Oxford Street, Dominion Theatre. British Museum is 5 minutes walk. Very quiet, only hear the birds in the morning. This inst glitz & glam, but good as a base for couples needing a night or two to stay. Nice old community lounge on ground floor to sit and read and has the tea & coffee facilities (non in tue room). "

"Have had a great stay at St Giles, may have been compact, however clean and convenient for the sights … All staff courteous and friendly, willing to help when approached… Such a comfortable bed with a choice of pillows … Had an amazing room overlooking Tottenham Court Road and the BT Tower … Not the quietest… however it is a main road and not an issue for me, it is what it is …. please don’t complain, just take earplugs … My only complaint although prob just a preference…. What’s with the tiny tea cups??? Would much prefer a good sized cup / mug … Thank you and would love to cone back xXx "
