We loved that only foot traffic was allowed for the most part after coming from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi coast. "Very thoughtfully restored old Villa just minutes from Cortona . The house and grounds are exactly as pictured. The very private road that leads there is a bit rough and seems very remote at first but after you venture out once you see that every convenience is minuets away and beautiful Cortona as well. A car is a good idea if you plan to go around Tuscany. 2 trains in town go everywhere but it helps to get to train and town with a car. The host is very responsive and hands on."

"This apartment was a nice place to stay outside Orvieto. Despite not being up on the hill inside the old town, it was only about a 15 minute walk to and from town. The owners did a really nice job renovating the place. Everything is brand new, very spacious, and very clean. The owner communicated promptly and even helped us find a taxi to the train station when no one else could. We would stay here again."

"This apartment is in a lovely medieval town. The apartment itself was very nice and well-equipped. There was plenty of room for the three of us. It can be a bit difficult to locate but Sergio and Mimosa were very helpful. Parking is offsite and a bit of a walk but you can unload your luggage nearer to the house. Highly recommend."

"Wir (3 Erwachsene) haben 2 sehr angenehme Wochen in Stefanias Haus verbracht. Liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber gehalten fühlten wir uns sehr wohl dort. Stefania ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, die uns mit allem, was ein italienisches Frühstück erfordert ausgestattet und uns zum Abschied sogar noch mit ein leckeren Kuchen verwöhnt hat. Bei Problemen war sie in kürzester Zeit für uns da. Wir können diese Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt in dem wunderschönen Ort Città della Pieve im herrlichen...

"The address of the hotel was wrong on the Hotels.com web site. After an anxious hour or so our host was kind enough to come and get us, we were on foot walking the Via Francigena and the additional 4 miles back would have been a killer. Our host arranged for a cab the next morning so we were back on schedule. Worth the cab expense to keep on schedule. Wonderful evening meal and a great hotel. I would visit it again."
