"My stay at the Diplomat was lovely. It is an elegant hotel in a beautiful, historic building. The charm of the water across the street and being able to easily walk to the tram or subway near was super convenient. My room was well appointed with nice linens and a comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower too! I ate at the downstairs restaurant twice, both times exactly what I needed with good food and attentive service. "My friend and I stayed in a private room with two single beds and a private bathroom. Our space was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the ease of checking in/out was so convenient—I wish all places just used access codes. The only thing that may detract is that many of the rooms are underground and don’t have windows, but as a couple of jet lagged Americans we actually found this to be beneficial.
