"The property has been in the family for four generations.It felt like we were staying in a part of history and privileged to be able to share their home. You actually have the entire house and part of the vineyard to enjoy your stay.The hosts were gracious and attentive. We were sad to leave and wished we had booked a few nights more."

"The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. The host is quick to communicate and was a gracious host the five days we were there. Unobtrusive and but helpful. If you get that chance to stay here, do! You won't regret it."

"Our stay was made especially pleasant by the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner. He could not have been better. Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. "Nice house, the description is pretty accurate. Quite comfortable for 8 people. We stayed in the mid of summer; the pool was very warm. The river was also warm and good for swimming. The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. "Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay in Penafiel. The property is beautiful - gorgeous sunset, nice pool and a friendly neighbourhood cat. The kitchen has everything that one would need, although it could use a larger kitchen sink! We loved the outdoor bbq and pizza oven. The owner communicated well with us. We highly recommend taking the owner up on the offer to have the Portuguese cook to whip up some excellent Portuguese fare. "

"Lovely breathtaking views and nice modern amenities made for a great stay. Responsive and friendly caretaker let us in and replied to questions immediately. Quite secluded and peaceful and about 25 minutes from Regua. Typical country roads to reach it required careful driving.
