"ive stayed here many times because its a very good price for central istanbul- it is quite basic but it has character, it is in the tarlabasi a very old district of istanbul, a bit ramshackle- which i like, but safe,. there are friendly reception staff, close to istiklal caddesi with its many restaurants and shops. its on a very steep street so not great for people with mobility problems, it is also close to the famous sunday market, comfortable bed, i slept well"

"The area, ironically, is very safe neighborhood than what it looks, and considering the price, it is definitely a place where you can enjoy the “local life,” but it is true that the neighborhood is dirty and looks sketchy. Also, the room looked clean at first, but there are some places that may not be as clean as it looks. Nonetheless, it is close to the local bus stops and not very far from Taksim square, so it is worth trying."

"The rooms were clean overall and good. Had only 1 remote for the AC's which was inconvenient as there's a second bedroom upstairs. Stairs are tight and steep to second bedroom so be aware if it's an issue for you. The AC's worked well which was very important for us. Beds were good and bedding good.
