Tranquil family friendly Trullo With Own Pool And Close To The Adriatic
Trulli delle Rondini is traditional stone building set in 10 tranquil hectares of olives and fruit trees. It will sleep six comfortably in the 3 air-conditioned bedrooms. Unlike many trullo complexes it boasts a spacious living area with arched stone ceilings which blend well with the fully exposed traditional stone work of the original trulli building. It has a well appointed, fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area. Fast, reliable wifi is provided by Starlink. Outside there is plentiful seating and areas for dining, sunbathing and, importantly in the summer, shading. The 13x5m pool is surrounded by ample terracing and its close proximity to the building make supervising children easier. Alfresco dining is a must in the warmer months and is further enhanced as night falls as the property is enchantingly lit up. It is within easy driving distance of Ceglie Messapica and its many restaurants and the most well known city of Ostuni.

Roger’s Trulli is simply stunning. The huge grounds offer complete privacy. The large pool is wonderful, particularly in August when we visited. Staying in the Trulli is a unique experience but still has all of the creature comforts. Brilliant stocked kitchen and welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
Great local restaurants in nearby Ostuni and Ceglie, Cebus was a particular favourite.
Ottavio the local agent made check in a breeze and was warm and helpful.
Thanks you Roger for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Stunningly unique holiday home. Ideal for families eager from a city detox
A beautifully converted trulli with modern extension. Extremely well equipped with a great deal of thought and effort to give you peace of mind on your holiday. A home from home with every need anticipated. Quite a remote location - recommend a sat nav as off the beaten track. No local eateries or shops within a 10 min drive. Gorgeous pool, great sunset. Very helpful, accommodating and communicative owner.
The house is wonderfully located for enjoying peace, nice bedrooms and living areas with a shaded terrace for meals, and a beautiful swimming pool. However, the cleaning could be improved, some stoves were "out of date", and there were some minor maintenance defaults. A safety box to secure valuables would also be much appreciated to avoid the unexplained disappearance of certain items, which is always an unpleasant experience. In short, a beautiful home that lacks a few things to approach perfection.
Such a lovely place. Very well-appointed, clean and beautiful Trulli house. Great manager who was super helpful. Very good WiFi and aircon. Definitely for those who want peace and don’t mind driving to dinner.
My family really enjoyed our time there 😊
Thanks to Ottavio and Roger for their help … if you want to relax this the place. The villa is fully equipped as we arrived we found a beautiful attention ( fromage, tomates, pain, lait, fruit… )
Thanks
Wonderful stay in a beautiful property in idyllic location
A beautifully restored Trulli in a very quiet rural location. Do use sat nav and save the pin drop location of the Trulli!! Ottavio and Roger have maintained property with a keen eye for detail.
The accommodation was very spacious and clean, accommodating two families (4 adults and 3 children) comfortably. The kitchen was fully equipped and plenty of crockery.
There was selection of beach gear - mats & parasols etc. The pool area was a real hit with the children who mastered the art of diving during our week long stay, whilst the adults could relax on the many sun loungers and chairs located around the pool area.
Plenty of shaded area’s to escape the intense August sun. We shopped at the local DOK supermarket in Ceglie and also Famila in Ostuni. We ate out at “Villa Kailea” (also do takeaway pizza) and the “Garden Pizzeria restaurant” in Ceglie - both of which we would highly recommend. Aldo and his staff at villa Kailea were exceptionally helpful and friendly! Ostuni has a large number of restaurants too.
We ventured out several days visiting the amazing caves at Castellana Grotte (a definite must see - check tour times in English in advance of travel), the town of Alberobello was beautiful if rather spoilt by the plethora of tourist shops! Monopoli, Polignano, Locorotondo all beautiful towns. A fabulous week at the Trulli, would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Fabulous trulli
Lovely property with absolutely everything thought of. Only 4 of us so was extremely spacious and would be even with more. We really enjoyed our stay . Top tip would be to mark your location on your sat nav or google maps on your phone. The property is nicely off the beaten track and doesn't have a traditional postal address that you can input. We got hopelessly lost on our first occasion returning to the Trulli despite our best efforts to note the way when leaving - all olive groves look deceptively similar !!

A really stunning villa in a perfect setting
The house was everything that was promised; a beautiful 'trulli' building, amazing swimming pool, lovely peaceful grounds, good sized rooms, comfy beds, plenty of sunbeds and the house was stocked with all the pots, pans and glasses etc you could need. And some lovely shady areas to sit outside for breakfast and dinner with large outdoor tables and plenty of chairs.
The manager met us some way out of the property and escorted us to the villa - and as you leave Ceglie Messapica (the main nearby town) you do sink deep into the lovely olive grove countryside with many other trulli houses around, so make sure so remember the way through all the windy country roads. The villa was perfect, silent but for bird song and with a lovely garden of olives trees, jasmine and lavender alive with bees and butterflies. And it is surrounded by some terrific old towns which were so interesting to visit - especially nice were Lecce, Matera and Martina Franca. Old town Bari was also a delight, and Alberobello was lovely (if rather spoiled by cheap junk tourist shops).
We visited the very pleasant hill town of Ceglie quite a few times (it takes around 20 minutes by car) where there are some largish supermarkets and small bakeries and green grocers. We ate out quite often but there weren't any particularly noteworthy restaurants we visited (although we did enjoy some terrific local red wines).
2 minor things - the wifi router worked perfectly but the provider sends out a very variable signal so often we could not get into the wifi (it was usually best early morning) and none of us could get 3G there. Moreover, the dish washer broke down a few times which the manager tried to repair.
In summary - a fantastic villa in a wonderful spot deep in lovely Apulia. A most memorable holiday :0)

Beautiful Trullo
Beautifully restored Trulli which is situated in lovely garden. We spent a week in October and enjoyed some lovely weather apart from one thunderstorm but still managed to use the pool every day. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool especially the diving board. We were met by the property manager who took us to the Trulli and showed us around the property and was available if we needed him throughout the week. Definitely suggest you have a Sat Nav in car as we might have struggled to find way to property without it. There was a very nice welcome pack on arrival which was perfect as we arrived on a Sunday and shops were closed but close by supermarket open the next day with good selection of food. There was everything we needed in the property which was spacious and beautifully furnished. There is plenty to see and do for all ages in the surrounding area but also very relaxing just staying poolside and enjoying the Italian climate. I would highly recommend this Trulli to anyone wishing to explore this part of Italy or just relax in beautiful surroundings. Ostuni which had several good restaurants and gelateria became our favourite place and was only a short drive away.
We were sorry to leave and would have no hesitation in returning to this lovely Trulli.

Fantastic house in a lovely part of Italy
It is very rare that property photographs depict what is actually found on site but this property and grounds are the same, if not better. My family spent two fabulous weeks in July/August 2015 staying at this wonderful property. Roger was very kind and patient with my numerous enquiries prior to and after booking. Thank you. We were met by Rogers contact in Italy, Octavio, who escorted us to the property and on arrival the property was every bit as beautiful as the photographs. No neighbours to speak off, no nasty surprises out of camera shot. The house was spotless, well maintained and well equipped and the pool, especially the diving board, was a big hit with my four children (ages 21-13). The house worked really well for us as a family as the master bedroom is at one end of the house and the other two bedrooms are at the opposite end, so everyone had their own space. The location of the property does seem remote at first (but this is exactly what we wanted) but the nearby towns of Ceglie and Ostuni are only a 10/15 minutes drive away. Both had an abundance of shops and restaurants and numerous events happening in the centres on the evenings and were lovely to stroll around even when nothing was happening - its what the Italians do best. The supermarkets are a short drive away but close enough to visit daily which we just about did. Thank you to Octavios wife who pointed us in the right direction to deal with one of the childrens ear infection, as our Italian is poor and english is not as widely spoken as it is in some parts of Italy, and because of this It was also reassuring to have Octavio at the end of the phone to deal with any minor issues. He always answered immediately and dealt with any matter promptly. As for the location there are some really interesting places to visit in the area if you are prepared to travel an hour or so and really worth while, Matera, Alberobello and Lecce to name but a few. We only ventured to the beach once, which was naturally crowded at that time of year, but the consensus of opinion between myself, my husband and children was why would we travel to a crowded beach when we have such a lovely pool and seating area at the house. We spent many an afternoon playing cards under the shade of the pergola and many an evening sat outside watching the sunset and chatting. Our holiday was a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxing. Would I return to or recommend this house? Yes, in a heart beat!

Heaven on Earth
My fiancé and I stayed here in June of last year. The trulli has been lovingly and beautifully restored. It is truly an amazing place to stay and is surrounded by olive trees and fig trees. We met the property manager, a local gentleman, who kindly met us en route so that he could lead the way to the property. I would strongly recommend you have Sat Nav in your car - I'm not sure we would have found our way back to the trulli each night without it! A welcome pack was given to us upon arrival which was very much appreciated and we made good use of it. The owners have thought of everything and it was a real home from home. The local supermarket was only a short drive away and sold excellent quality produce. We spent long, lazy days by the pool and would venture out in the evenings for dinner. Ostuni, the white city, was only a short drive away and we found some lovely restaurants there. Other days, we would venture further afield; there are so many places to explore.
It is honestly one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. To wake up each day to beautiful scenery, lovely weather and tranquillity was exactly what we needed. It is so private and peaceful. We really didn't want to come home!
I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone.

A wonderful house!
We spent two weeks in the Trulli delle Rondini. The house is spacious and tastefully furnished. The pool is quite large and even in October we spent some days next to and in the pool. But the house also has a good heating system, so it was cosy and warm on cooler days.
Ottavio, the property manager, was very nice and helpful. When we arrived, there was some local wine and food in the fridge and when we had a problem with the electricity one day, Ottavio immediatey came and solved it.
The house has a large garden. It is located in an area with lots of olive groves. Nearby Ceglie Messapica and Ostuni are pretty towns. To other sights like Lecce or Castel del Monte you need to drive an hour or even a little more.
