"House had everything we needed for our trip! Cooked breakfast and lunch each day. Loved this affordable house to stay while visiting for the week. Safe area. Locals so friendly! Walked the short distance downtown for dinner each night (or across the street for a drink and/ or breakfast/lunch). Many restaurants were closed because of storm last fall, but hoping they rebuild soon. Love this sweet town!!"

"It's like sitting in the wilderness but right there in your face. All the wildlife around you that doesn't care you are there. Had a very close visit by an osprey, bald eagle and lots of turkey vultures. Daisy duck will certainly keep you entertained. The place is tiny and hard to maneuver for an ADA with a rolling walker, but my wife got used to it. The write up said, kitchen, then later said kitchenette. There was no stove! Only a small microwave, medium sized refrigerator (old school, type that wasn't frost free, but worked great), coffee maker and a cool utility sink to wash dishes in. One of the main reasons to visit Cedar Key was to cook up a bunch of their clams. That was disappointing. Because the cottage is an extension of the main house it only has 120 voltages in it. The water heater is a three-gallon 120 voltage unit. I helped my wife take a shower, then took one right after her and mine wound up near the end being cold. So, we adjusted the next shower to give the unit a few hours recovery time. The Neiborhood is great walking. In fact, it's not that far to even walk back into Cedar Key's main dock areas and back again, if you're in shape. about 2 to 3 miles total. I don't know if it was us not being used to the high moisture environment or actually getting something when back in Gainesville at the concerts. We both had bad sinus coughs that kept us up all night. The high-hat screens definitely need a cleaning. Turn the spotlight off for stars."

"We have a great couple of days of relaxation, eating, sightseeing, and learning about Cedar Key. This was a great place to stay. It was quiet and it was enjoyable to wake up in the morning and see the view of the water. We would definitely return."

"This is a wonderful, open space that allows dogs and is very well appointed. The wrap around porch with the padded rocking chairs was a favorite place for our crew to hang out. Comfortable beds and an unmatched view. You can’t beat it. Hosts were great!"

"My family - me, husband, 11yo - and our friends - mom, dad, 8yo - all stayed here as part of our spring break plans. The house was lovely. We were on the street closest to the beach. The kids spent a lot of time playing in the water. The street was not busy - pretty much no street in Cedar Key is. There was plenty of space under the house to park vehicles and a boat. The rental was walking distance to all the restaurants, art galleries, and - most importantly - to the marina so that we could easily drive the trailer back to the rental and walk back to the boat. The interior of the house was perfect. Everyone had plenty of space. The kids loved their bunk room and the balconies. We mostly ate out but there was plenty of kitchen equipment if we'd wanted to prepare food. It was a little disconcerting at first to feel the house sway in the wind (the first day was especially blustery), but eventually we all agreed that it was actually quiet relaxing. We loved staying here and plan to return for future visits!"
