"We try to stay here whenever we're in Saffron Walden, visiting family. We are very pleased with the property and the helpfulness of the owner and housekeeper. My only word of caution to prospective guests is that the narrow, winding staircase is not suitable for people with mobility issues, but that would be my only real reservation."

"I absolutely loved our stay! It was very comfortable and felt like home. The only thing I could not figure out was the heater/towel rack in the bathroom was not turning on. There was fresh milk in the fridge for coffee or tea (both were provided with sugar) and biscuits (cookies). "Perfect accommodation for a short break. Upstairs is decorated to a good standard in modern style. Everything you need. Kitchen/lounge/diner area. Very cosy and relaxing. Quite big bedroom with double bed and comfortable mattress. Downstairs at bottom of stairs is the toilet and a wet room with shower and under floor heating. Lovely and warm and nice decor. We used the accommodation for a two night stay so we could visit family nearby. Absolutely ideal. Just friendly and helpful. Thank you. "

"I greatly enjoyed the combination of comfort, beautiful Yurt interior and outdoor living for 4 days. The wood burner gets the Yurt very cosy in a short while if it is chilly. Charlie was very helpful and considerate. There is some noise from the passing road but the views and secluded position more than make up for that. I would happily return."

"Lovely little cottage, perfect location with walking distance to the town centre (10/15mins), had a lovely weekend celebrating my partners birthday just what we needed to have a break and relax. The setting is rural, surrounded by fields and copses, just over a mile down a narrow single track lane. Very quiet, apart from the sound of planes on the flight path into Stansted airport 15 miles or more away, which didn't really bother us in October (though for a couple of nights bizarre acoustics did make a couple staying next door in the farmhouse sound...
