Follow a one-mile-long private driveway through groves of Walnut and alongside the Corlear Creek to reach this expansive estate. Upon entry, you’ll find 19th-century oak floors, antique brick from the old Athens brickyard, floor-to-ceiling windows, and huge dining and living rooms designed for large, cheerful gatherings. The corner game room invites your group to gather around the pool table and cozy up by the brick fireplace. When it’s time to unwind, head to the master bathroom, where a freestanding bathtub overlooking the water showcases the best views in the house. Outside, a river-side pool and a great lawn leading directly to the sandy beach on the Hudson give you plenty of opportunities to spend your days in the sun. Enjoy!
Comprised of quaint towns, each with their own charming main street, upstate New York’s Hudson Valley is famed for its natural beauty and seasonal produce. After all, it was here that inspired an entire artistic movement of Romantic painters who captured the area’s rolling hills, colorful foliage, and pastoral setting. View the landscapes in person by hiking the Catskill Mountains. Then, visit local farms where there’s a lot to pick: apples in the fall, strawberries in the summer, and vegetables in between.

- Please note that we require a security deposit of $1000 which will be collected after the booking has been made.
- This home is a historic home and therefore the flooring may be uneven in some places, and there is a spiral stair inside.
- Third-floor catwalk has large openings in rails.
- The spiral staircase to the fourth floor has balusters of more than 4"
- This home accepts a maximum of 2 pets. But pets must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $150 per pet. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Max daytime occupancy: 48
- The Town of Athens is a residential community and any unreasonable noise or disturbances, disorderly conduct, or violations of the Town Code will not be tolerated and may result in citation, fines, and/or eviction from the rental unit.
- The pool is closed during the winter months and typically reopens around mid-May. For more specific information, please feel free to inquire.
- The pool cannot be heated.
- A pack-n-play and highchair are provided at this home.
- The fireplace is non-operational, and is not for guest use.
- Please note, Home is on a water well system and has a limited capacity. Excessive water running will cause an outage that will restore in about 30 min, be conscious when showering at the same time.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.
This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.
