"Waratah on York is the perfect place to stay if you like old world charm with the convenience of a contemporary bathroom. The staff were supper helpful with suggestions on where to find a delicious meal or tourist attractions. As mentioned in previous reviews, the outside and inside steps may be a challenge for elderly or disabled guests but there are rooms downstairs so be sure to mention any medical conditions on booking and I am sure Pia will be happy to assist you. "We enjoy staying here with the kids, staff are friendly, clean and the meals are good. My kids enjoy using the play equipment however it could probably do with a splash of paint and fixing the hole in the fencing but that certainly wont stop me from giving a top rating."

"Walking distance to everywhere. Plenty of parking. Rooms are spacious, not modern but has everything you need and price appropriate. All apartments have perfect view of Launceston. Would definitely stay here again "

"When I arrived I was told that my door lock was broken and was being repaired. As the hotel was full they couldn’t offer me another room. The receptionist and repairer did an excellent job ensuring that I was happy while the repair was completed."

"It had everything we needed. It was an old property (c.150yrs old) so it was never going to be state-of-the-art with underfloor heating, surround-sound disco-lighting (and it would have been awful if it was like that) but it catered for us perfectly,was quiet and comfortable."
