"Beautiful hotel. I had self check in and the entrance was cluttered...at first I had difficulty figuring out where and which door I was supposed to use to enter the hotel. Luckily with prior communication through WhatsApp, I re-examine the photo and finally figured it out. The hotel is gorgeous. Decor, quiet, beautiful location. I parked and had to walk about 10 minutes back to the hotel. Lots of unusual signage on the streets about parking... Proceed with caution. "

"Beautiful old-style inn, the house of a Spanish painter (thus the name). Super friendly, helpful people, excellent breakfast prepared by a great lady. One caution: no one spoke much English, so be prepared. About like a beautiful B&B - highly recommend."

"I was told that parking in the subterranean lot was free but because I did not keep his ticket. It cost me 13 euros an extra walk to the hotel and an hour of time. He knew who I was when I came in. The parking attendant would not take credit card and not give me a receipt. He was belligerent and no person in the hotel to help."

"Pretty property but services overstated. None of the staff spoke English. They were unable to process credit cards but didnt tell us that when we checked in. Had to walk all over town looking for ATM to check out. Person in room under us had TV full volume until after midnight. Called front desk they did not address the situation. They seemed understaffed. Restaurant was not great. "

"This is an amazing opulent and historic house with secluded gardens and pool where you can recharge. The cooking and wine were excellent as was Madames hospitality. One slight drawback is the bumpy ride on a track if you don't have a 4 by 4. Still value for money."

"We had a wonderful stay with Edgar and Malisa. They were kind and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean. Edgar let us choose the room we wanted upon our arrival. We had a room wuth a view to the main square with huge windows and a small balcony. It was absolutely lovely and romantic. I really think this place can be rated as at least a 4 star hotel. "

"Idéalement très bien situé, en plein coeur du centre historique et à 2 min à pied de la place principale. Le cadre est magnifique, avec un patio intérieur et extérieur où l'on peut se poser. "The gate to the property is hidden from the main road. It's opposite an industrial park. The private drive to the property is a dirt track and will take 10 minutes. It is only suitable for 4 x 4 cars and confident drivers. However, you can see plenty of rabbits and the odd owl along the way. The villa is looked after by a lovely couple, with a son who can talk a bit of English. They don't. They are on site and will help you navigate the use of the villa. "The staff at the property were very friendly and helpful. We had a penthouse suite that offered a good view of the area. The suite was spacious and clean. The property provided a welcome basket with food and oranges. They also provided bottled water and juice each day which was a nice touch. The property is in walking distance to the historic area and most of the main sites. There are restaurants, shopping and other amenities within 2 minutes of the location.
