"We booked this property as a girl holiday getaway for my 40th birthday celebrations. Overall we had a nice stay and found the location great to be able to visit some really stunning towns and villages nearby including Dome, Rocamadour and also had the opportunity to do cannoing in the Dordogne river as it’s such a great spot for it. In terms of the house itself, it had the main things we wanted but I wish the outside area by the pool would have had more greenery or at least a bit of grass....

La campagne environnante est très calme et magnifique. Nous y étions pendant la semaine chaude en août, les murs de pierre, la redescente importante des température pendant la nuit et la piscine nous ont permis de passer cette période sans la subir. "We were a group of 8 adults and 6 children all under 7 and we had a holiday to remember that met all our needs. The house is beautiful and very spacious and the garden and pool were great in the hot, sunny weather we were lucky to have. The house is set in lovely countryside with lots of walks and fresh bread and groceries just a short walk through the vineyards in Douelle. Would definitely recommend!"

"Bon séjour, bonne communication avec le propriétaire des lieux, maison spacieuse pour 11 personnes ! Manque de propreté en général ! Araignées...fourmis...protéges matelas et oreillers douteux ! Dysfonctionnement des deux chasses d eau ! Malgré ce manque de propreté , la maison est adaptée pour un séjour famille ou amis au calme dans un environnement agréable ! Le plus ...un barbecue !"

"Fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and absolute peace and quiet. The property is exactly as the photos and description, with top quality appliances and spotlessly clean. A mix of modern and traditional French building. Very friendly and helpful owners, who live adjacent to the property but keep to themselves, although they only speak and email in French. Note the property is 2.5km outside Cales, the nearest boulangerie is 7km away in the next village and supermarket 25km away in...

"What a great stay! The house and setting were beautiful, the pool was an absolute delight, the river was close by and deliciously cooling and everything was high quality, worked well and had been thoroughly thought through. Highly recommended. The only thing that could have improved it would be air conditioning in all the bedrooms rather than just the largest. All round though it was superb."
