"We stayed at Rincón de Puembo on our way to the Galápagos and again when we returned. I highly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the food is amazing (have the cold shrimp in a chilled soup), and the service is outstanding. We ate at both restaurants but El Grill with outdoor seating was my favorite. The rooms are nicely done. The woman that checked us in Monday Jan 21 around 7:30pm was so very helpful and she was there to help us again when we returned on the 29th. She made sure there was a van to pick us up in Quito, another to take us to airport the next morning for the islands, another when we returned from the Galápagos and once again when we left to go back to the airport in Quito. Everything went as planned. If I'm lucky enough to return, I will stay at Hotel Rincón de Puembo. "

"This hotel was absolutely amazing. It was stepping back in time but with comfort and great service. The breakfast included was so delicious with fresh fruit, fruit juices, eggs, pastries and delicious coffee, and served to our table. All the men who worked the front desk helped in whatever information, taxi needs, extras we needed. Thank you Hotel San Francisco de Quito!!"

"Beautiful place in the highlands! The thermal pools are the highlight and the flora and fauna along with the majestic mountains are the backdrop. Loved the onsite restaurant, especially the sea bass in coconut sauce. The spa offers quality massages and wraps at very affordable prices. This is a magical place and I’ll definitely return! "
