"Despite some unseasonal cold and wet weather and suffering from colds caught on the ferry from GB we really enjoyed our 2 weeks at L’Abeille Bleue. What made it so great was the warmth of our hosts Didier and Patricia, a most welcoming and generous couple. Didier was so concerned that we understood how the heating system worked (we really needed it!) that he came in twice to check that we understood it. And we also benefitted greatly from gifts of fruit (peaches, apples, figs) and vegetables...

"Tout d'abord la demeure des propriétaires a été rénovée et décorée avec goût (petit + pour les peintures de l'appartement réalisées par Fabrine, la maîtresse des lieux). La piscine est chauffée, nous avons pu en profiter tous les jours, très belle réalisation du propriétaire. We came to see the Châteaux of the Loire and there were many located very close to the gite. We didn't realise from the description that the bathroom was on a different floor to the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem for us, but could have been for others."

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "
