The weather wasn’t great the entire week, so we didn’t get the true experience of a tropical vacation- no fault of the resort. The beach was gorgeous with a close by bar and plenty of seating. The pool was nice, but beach chairs were snapped up early and the staff didn’t really help out with this. Drinks and food were readily available. The entertainment area is being upgraded - not fully open-and wasn’t the best for our group. We enjoyed the bands in the Rendezvous lounge though. Food was not of the quality of the Secrets Akumal location we went to last year. Tried to go to Dreams- sister location- but found the restaurant staff very unfriendly and the Gaucho restaurant inaccessible- it was closed even when the app said it was open and the day it was open the wait was 90 minutes. The spa was lovely. The fitness center adequate. I really hope they can organize the tennis/pickleball with a pro and sign ups for lessons or play. A great tennis center within walking distance is the Rafa Nadal Center. Another guest told me about that. All in all- I wouldn’t recommend a stay until the renovation is complete- 4/25 to12/25. Hard to judge or criticize because they are working to improve the property- but we were a bit disappointed for this vacation. Hopefully they will work to improve the sports complex, food and activities.

This property is very overrated and advertised wrong! Half the restaurants were not open and would rotate days being open. Coffee shop advertised being open 24 hours, was not. There was no sports bar, was "coming soon". The room was not very nice and foliage outside by patio with mosquitoes so could not use. The drinks at the pool were very diluted down... could do many shots and not even feel any alcohol. We were very disappointed with this property and vacation.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with secrets. The staff, dining options and property were awesome. One suggestion would be to try and streamline the key collection/luggage process as we were told to be at rendezvous at 3 to collect our key, and it wasnt in sight. I had to go to the front lobby to request it. Overall 4.5 stars and we will definitely not hesitate to stsy at a secrets in the future.

This was my second stay at this resort. I came back because the of beach. Beautiful soft sand, soft currents, and little seaweed. This resort is closing in April for renovations. There are a lot of things that need fixing. The staff works hard to make everyone happy. I'll be back.

The property needs an upgrade they will be closing on late spring for major upgrades. Despite needing cosmetic upgrades, the staff was excellent and the food offered quite a variety for all.

I Extremely Disappointing Stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort. My expectations for a relaxing and luxurious vacation were unfortunately met with a series of disappointments and inconveniences. From the moment I arrived, I experienced the following issues: Unacceptable Room Conditions: dirty room upon arrival, broken fixtures, pest infestations, persistent unpleasant odors, etc.] Subpar Service: a long wait times, unhelpful staff, unfulfilled requests, etc.] Disappointing Amenities: issues with amenities, e.g., overcrowded pools, malfunctioning equipment, unsanitary conditions, etc.] Noise Disturbances: loud music, construction, inconsiderate guests, etc.] Food Quality Issues]: unappetizing meals, unsanitary food handling, etc.] These issues significantly impacted my vacation and caused considerable stress and disappointment. I attempted to resolve these matters with the staff during my stay, but my concerns were not adequately addressed. As a result of this unacceptable exper I need all my money back because apart I came to get sick and my partner devoted to stress and how sanitary the whole place and the food are.

Great Service, Beautiful Resort, but Food Could Be Better We recently stayed at Secrets Playa Mujeres the week before Christmas and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The resort is exceptionally clean, and the service was fantastic throughout our stay. A highlight was the food at Fusion, located in the neighboring Dreams resort—we highly recommend trying the beef tenderloin; it was phenomenal! The resort felt almost like a private getaway since it wasn’t crowded during our visit. We never struggled to find chairs at the pool or a Bali bed, and golf carts to and from the resort were always quick and easy. The pools were beautiful, and we were lucky to have great weather, with only one rainy day. The main downside of our stay was the food at Secrets, which was below average compared to other all-inclusive resorts we’ve visited. However, we understand the resort is undergoing renovations soon, and we’re hopeful that food quality will improve as part of the updates. Overall, Secrets Playa Mujeres offers a serene and service-oriented experience, with excellent amenities and the added bonus of access to the Dreams resort. If they can elevate the dining at Secrets, it will truly be a standout destination!
