Our stay at Melia Casa Maya was excellent. The staff were extremely accommodating, welcoming and were very attentive. Everyone that we encountered offered professional and caring service. The facilities were clean and the food was delicious as well. We love that it was a calm environment, excellent for families or anyone looking for a calm vacation spot.

The service and hospitality is what really makes this place great. I’ve stayed at nice hotels that didn’t give us this type of service. When I spoke to client services about my issues with dining they immediately upgraded me to level so I could have a better experience. That in itself made the entire trip worth it and happier. We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The service was exceptional—staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious with a great variety of options to choose from. Our ocean-view room was beautiful, offering stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The water slide was a fun highlight, especially for families. We also enjoyed the different entertainment programs available every day and night, keeping us engaged throughout our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience—very satisfying and highly recommended!

For a property that only reopened a couple months ago, I thought it was well-ran. You could tell not everything was renovated (bathroom sinks and showers) but what was renovated was very nicely updated. Overall we had a very good experience. Pros: - good for young kids - nice beach - easy check in check out - good buffet - nice facilities (public bathrooms, dining areas) - concierge available for booking excursions Cons: - not many dining options and you had to make reservations for dinner - furniture moving made loud noises since there is no carpet (mattered because my daughter still naps) - wish there was another bar outside since there were long lines

Victor was very accommodating at check in and Adrian was beyond helpful working on correcting our transfer to the airport. The staff was lovely and the hotel was clean. The beach was very close and the pools were wonderful. My children (7 & 8) loved the water park. The slides were fun for kids and adults. The big slides were slow enough for young children to enjoy. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment, the food and drinks. There were plenty of chairs at the beach and pool. The pool towels were large and fluffy. There was always plenty of food and a good variety. The property is smaller than most all inclusive resorts, which made it feel safe and convenient for families. We stayed in a suite with a balcony. The room was huge and clean. The beds were comfortable, the view was amazing and the suite was kept very clean.

Hotel was clean, but lacked food options and there is no fitness room. Most of the staff was nice and friendly, there were couple that were rude. The only thing I like about that hotel was their fast respond to provided us with a new and upgraded room after we found mold on the ceiling in our shower. Will not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

We stayed for 7 nights at the end of December 2024 and had a great time. They had just reopened after the remodel so there were little hiccups along the way (like forgetting to put out the butter-again nothing extreme just little things) but nothing that affected our stay in a negative way. We got brand new towels, fresh paint, new beds and bedding, clean rooms and plenty of food to eat. The waterpark was great for my kiddos and I loved the slides myself. Hands down-the staff was the best part. They were so kind and helpful always with a smile. We had a great time and would come again.

Enjoyed our stay HOWEVER our biggest irritation was that breakfast was served at 7 AM and even then was not timely. We had multiple days of excursions and were traveling with children so not having breakfast was beyond frustrating. Never have we experienced this before in all our travels, made for a rocky start to these days.

Excelente option for Casual Resort with family. I was scared due to the bad previous reviews but I was surprised with amazing hotel. The hotel is new and modern , looks exactly like photos. It is a real all-inclusive ( foods and drinks available all time, activities and waterpark, no surprises ). Amazing and friendly staffs that are always available to serving and make guest happy. There is not gym, but Antonio and his recreation team are great and full of energy to keep us busy with activities ( paddle boarding, yoga, aqua gym, aquatic polo, volleyball ). Diana made the best ovo estrelado and omeletes at breakfast. Carlos, Palmira and Cyntia were amazing helping us with early check in and late check out. Jesus , the concierge, gave us a great tips about transportation and where we should do shopping . The beach is perfect, a lot chairs, calm ocean and white and clean sand !!! Hotel cleans the beach regularly. My 11 y daughter was very happy with pool and waterpark .My husband was very satisfied with food service at beach ( Mauricio ) and all bartenders . This hotel deserves higher rate and starts for sure!!!

I am questioning Expedia’s reviews now. This property is worst! No Spa and no gym at property. When we asked for options outside and they were clueless. Service: very very bad. They are not prepared for guests and very rude when it comes to talking with Food: same food every day and with limited options. They have half of the restaurants closed most of the time Room service: none. Their phone line conveniently doesn’t work. Water park: limited and dirty. Expedia customer care I hope you do something about this.
