A Family Getaway with Ups and Downs – Hard Rock Hotel Cancun Our recent family vacation to the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun offered a mix of highs and lows, but overall, it was a memorable experience. Pros: Friendly and Attentive Staff: The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, with the concierge being a particularly helpful addition. VIP Experience: Opting for the VIP experience elevated our stay, giving us access to the third-floor pool terrace with upgraded poolside food options. The exclusivity and quality made it well worth it, and we’d definitely choose this again. Spacious Balcony: We were lucky to have a room with a large balcony, which is rare at this resort and was a great bonus. Dining Options: While the food was decent overall, we particularly enjoyed dining at Toro, the steakhouse, and the Mexican restaurant on Friday. The poolside food on the third-floor terrace was also a standout. Cleanliness: The cleaning crew worked tirelessly to keep the hotel spotless, which was appreciated, especially with young kids in tow. Cons: Kids' Club Closed: Unfortunately, the kids' club was under renovation during our stay, which was a major disappointment. Had we known this beforehand, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. Food Poisoning Incident: Both my wife and I experienced food poisoning on separate days, which dampened the trip. The room’s AC was broken. The door towards the sea view was broken. The food was below average. I didn’t get my credits to use on the property. A lady came and said that because we have VIP we were going to receive a special breakfast which in fact was same breakfast anyone at the hotel got, plus a 2 hour LONG TALK ABOUT PURCHASING THE LENGENDARY MEMBERSHIP. Completely unfortunate and disappointing. No ine will give us our credits, the stay was completely horrible.

The property is well-maintained, with friendly and extremely helpful staff. However, if you're visiting Cancun to party, be aware that this resort's nightlife is limited. All bars close by 1 am (sometimes as early as 12:30 am), and room service drinks are unavailable. Regurgitation as soda and a couple beer cans. The best restaurant would be the steakhouse- Toro. Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - Decent rooms with essentials - Good food and prompt service (despite long waits) Cons: - Limited nightlife (all hotel bars close early) - Long wait times for restaurants (1-2 hours) - Rooms appear outdated *Overall Assessment* This hotel is decent value but not for the price. Considering the brand name, I expected more entertainment options and at the very least a 24-hour or late night bar, especially on weekends. *Recommendations* - Improve nightlife options - Extend bar hours - Update rooms

The resort was under Construction,so there were maintenance issues and construction supplies we had walk around and could hear the banging from a distance. You have your usual courteous friendly staff members and then you have those that shouldn't be working in the hotel/hostess environment. The majority of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We really liked the safeness of the resort; no one can get in or out without proper identification and reason. There were a variety of foods and drinks to enjoy. They did have evening entertainment and that was fun to go to. The 2 things I can comment and suggest is 1. Immediately say no to the sales people trying to sell vacation shares, if you really don't want to spend any time listening to their sales pitch. 2. There was no activities for the singles who come and would like to mingle without having to leave the resort.

I brought my mom here for her 70th and she had a blast. It was such an awesome experience. The staff was superb, the VIP package was top tier, and the birthday package was the cherry on top

The kids club was fantastic. The room service menu was terrible. And it makes no sense Why you cannot get a plate of food from the buffet to take back to your room. I spoke to several people that had visited there before it was our first time, and they said that they would never be back and neither will we. Stayed at several hard rocks before and this by far was our most disappointing experience. I would not recommend it.
