Liked-most staff were very welcoming and accommodating, beach was kept in excellent condition. Specialty restaurants of Japanese, bbq and Italian were great, the service exceptional! Memorized several peoples drink orders through the week, brought another just as you were finishing.
Did not like-immediately greeted guest services by an invitation to a time share and weren’t providing service after refusing. We were there as a family and did not want to sacrifice a morning of time we planned to spend with our children, yet were then turned down/misinformed/given the run around to make special restaurant arrangements already included in the package we purchased. The excursions staff member much more respectful of letting us decide/discuss what excision we wanted. Buffet was repetitive, every day mostly same thing or trying to use up supplies from night before. Specialty restaurant nights broke up eating the same meals everyday, basic tasting, limited or no spices. Limited food options at points needing to know when what place was open, what it offered when…not really something you think of on vacation. Food was really the big let down of the week, as a basic example not being able to get guacamole in Mexico was a first time for us after staying several other locations. The other down fall was not on Cancun bay, the resort 2 down that played musics until 2-3am, we kept the windows closed and it was quiet enough to sleep. Just nice to be able to listen to the waves.
