Elsie's Getaway in the Finger Lakes Region

Beautiful & cozy mobile home nestled in the country in the finger lakes region. The home has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Picnic table and fire pit. The horse barn is near the rental. Pippi & Slick are always excited to have visitors. The home is a short distance from our 100 acre farm which has hiking trails, 2 ponds on the property with floaties available to use & many local attractions. Located 25 minutes from Keuka Lake, 23 minutes from the Corning Museum of Glass, 27 minutes from Watkins Glen International Raceway & Watkins Glen State Park.

Great Stay!
Nice, clean, relaxing, and quiet. Desiree was great communicating with me and answering all my questions. Young man came out to show us the horses and tell us about them plus the other animals on the farm. Recommend for everyone looking for some relaxation. Will def stay again!

Perfect!
We stayed here to visit the Finger Lakes Region and Ithaca College to tour. The home was exactly as described and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The farm animals were a huge hit with the kids. Looking forward to our next stay!

Comfortable , clean, quiet! Just what we needed. Beautiful horses next door, friendly kittens. We did laundry( very helpful for the portion of our trip) also visited nearby state parks and Ithaca. Had a great time! Highly recommend this house!

2024 Solar Eclipse
A co-worker and I drove from CT to NY to catch the total solar eclipse. Our drive went well and the VBRO location was easy to find. The mobile home was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Too bad it was a cloudy day, but the adventure was fun.

Charming Country Getaway
Lovely, clean accomodations. Secluded, country location. A very relaxing place not far from various area attractions: Watkins Glen, Keuka and Seneca Lakes, wineries, and Corning Museum of Glass, to name a few.

Fun and quiet get-away
Great stopover from Canada to visit the Finger Lakes. Exceptionally clean and cozy home, located 20 minutes from the Watkins Glen park. Friendly people and pets greeted us. There were five of us (my husband, me, 20yo, 15yo, 14yo) and we were very comfortable. The barnyard horses, calf’s, and chickens were a hit with the 15 and 14 yo to our surprise!

A homey country getaway

Nice retreat
A nice spot for a relaxed family vacation. We enjoyed the house and fire pit and local pond, and we made the house a jumping off point for day-long car trips to see attractions in the region. The hosts are great. Only issue, we had trouble finding the house at first--didn't see the small sign and didn't realize that the driveway would be _opposite_ the mailbox. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Quiet country getaway
The property was very clean. Easy to find and within half hour of Corning and Watkins Glen. Nice to be out in the country but not too far from things to do. Owners were very nice and met us upon arrival and introduced us to the horses. Overall good experience.

Quiet weekend away
We had a lovely time at Elsie’s Getaway. The house was very clean and spacious for 3 adults. There were ample towels and washcloths. It was in a very private location which was great for stargazing and peaceful nights by the campfire. There was a smart tv however no WiFi (rendering the tv useless, which would’ve been nice to use when it was raining) and only intermittent cell service. So bring your board games, deck of cards, and be prepared to spend quality down-time together. A map of the land amenities would have been helpful as we didn’t know where we were allowed to walk vs trespassing, to find advertised ponds and trails. The owners were quick to respond and answered any/all questions and provided local restaurant and winery suggestions.
